Awinic Won the 2018 Xiaomi Global Core Supplier New Journey Award

On November 16, Xiaomi Global Core Supplier Convention 2018 was held in Beijing. This convention gathered global electronics giants like Qualcomm from America, Sony from Japan and Samsung from South Korea. Sun Hongjun, CEO of Awinic was also invited to the convention.


During the event, Xiaomi granted Awinic and other core suppliers “New Journey Award" for their close cooperation and firm support.


Xiaomi's New Retailing Combo Attack- Seek New Breakthroughs Towards a New Journey


On the Fifth World Internet Conference held at early November, Lei Jun, founder and CEO of Xiaomi was interviewed by CCTV financial journalist. As he pointed out, new retailing is the focus of e-commerce, and that online retail and offline retail must integrate.


"11.11 Xiaomi Carnival, Upgrade Your Passion" is this year’s theme. On the basis of its original powerful online channels and through the sinking of its offline channels, Xiaomi has established a comprehensive new retail and new form covering online and offline shopping scenarios. With the whole category of products merging with whole platforms efficiently, new retailing is upgraded in an all-round way.


As is known to all, centering on the mobile phone, Xiaomi has constructed a tri-circle product system, constituted by peripheral products, intelligent hardware and consumer goods. At present, the SKU of Mi Store has reached 200-700, and the SKU of authorized Mi Experience Store has reached 350-500. Such product assortments have composed high-frequency consumption scenarios.


Xiaomi also completed four major upgrades of its new retail system on this year's Double 11: in terms of channels, it has been upgraded from e-commerce channel to online and offline coordination; in terms of the core of business, it has been transformed from upgrading the product quality to elevating user's life quality; in terms of products, it has been reformed from smart phone in main to the whole category of intelligent life products; in terms of its goal, it has turned from proving itself to seeking innovation and breakthroughs.


Join Hands With Suppliers- Further Improve Xiaomi's Supply Capacity


Xiaomi is not only a mobile phone company,but also a mobile internet and new retail company. With internet thinking, Xiaomi explores the transformation of its sales model, advocates and stimulates the " NewChina-madeGoods Movement", and utilizes authentic materials to create good products that "can touch people and are with favorable prices".


As Lei Jun said: "In this way, I hope to drive the whole China to take a big step forward in manufacturing and product. Just like in the 1970s, when the rise of Sony had accelerated the entire Japanese industry; and in the 1980s, when Samsung motivated the Korean industry. I hope Xiaomi can promote the innovation and upgrading of Chinese manufacturing as well as the Chinese design, so that excellent products can spring up in all walks of life. ”


This year can be described as a glorious one for Xiaomi. After experiencing the dilemma of the previous sales decline, Lei Jun took charge of Xiaomi mobile phone's supply chain again in 2017, thus uplifting the delivery speed of Xiaomi mobile phone greatly and also enhancing the quality of Xiaomi mobile phone. By the end of October this year, the annual delivery of Xiaomi mobile phones has exceeded 100 million units.


Lei Jun once stated in an interview that suppliers couldn't enter the door of Xiaomi unless they are the world's top ones. "The first requirement I made when I was making Xiaomi mobile phone is to use first-rank suppliers, top components and top materials. We must produce world-class products with only half price of the peer." It is because of Lei Jun's positioning of the company and products that enables Awinic and other domestic high-tech enterprises with high-performance, favorable price and good service to gradually develop a close supply cooperation with Xiaomi, therefore opening the "new journey“ of Xiaomi's ecological chain.


As one of the Chinese smartphone brands, Xiaomi has been actively exploring business opportunities outside the Chinese market. According to the latest Counterpoint Research, Xiaomi has already expanded its lead over Samsung in India, the second largest smartphone market in the world. Xiaomi's present market share is 27%, while the market share of the Korean brand was 23% in the last quarter. In addition, Xiaomi has also begun to sell mobile phones in European countries and has witnessed a significant increase of sales in this year.
